New start with Thames Valley Gay Chorus

This is a great time to join Thames Valley Gay Chorus because we are starting a new term with a new Musical Director.  You will be in at the start alongside other newcomers.  There are no auditions, you do not need to be able to read music and we all just want to enjoy singing together, to learn and develop and have fun in a safe and friendly LGBT community choir.  We meet for rehearsals in Reading every Sunday from 4 to 6pm.  You are very welcome to come along and meet us, have a sing and see if TVGC is for you.

We begin rehearsals again on Sunday 13 May, from 4 to 6pm at New Bridge Nursery School in Caversham.  We will work towards a 15th Anniversary Concert on 6 October at South Street Arts Centre, and performances at Reading Pride on 1 September.  We will learn a mix of music and build on our performance confidence.

Our new Musical Director for the coming term is Victoria Ely who ran a great workshop for us recently, full of fun and energy.  She is a highly qualified and experienced choral conductor and tutor who has worked throughout the UK and in Europe as well as in her native Australia.  You can find out more from her website. Vicky currently lives in London, but is moving to Reading this summer.

We are delighted that Vicky has agreed to work with us and hope that you will want to join us when we restart rehearsals on 13 May.  Why not come along to a rehearsal for a taster session?
